Our initiative began when one of our staff members walked past a local food bank and noticed how understocked it was. She shared the idea of raising funds to replenish the supplies with her manager, and the children eagerly joined in, organising a bake sale to support the cause. The response from staff and children was overwhelmingly positive, and the effort fostered a sense of humility and gratitude for what we have. The children felt a deep sense of purpose and pride in contributing to charity.

Since then, we’ve selected different causes each year to raise funds for. One year, we supported Yemen, another year we focused on helping the homeless.

 

This year we’re fundraising for Emergency Aid for Survivors of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
